Room 421, Saturday Morning

Rinoa hadn't expected to wake up in her old dorm room. Was this Fandom's idea of the full reunion experience? It certainly did take her back, especially since the room was still decorated as it had been twenty years ago.

It was a nice touch, and she decided she preferred it to waking up in the hotel, although that would have had her Knight asleep in bed with her.

She would have to assume he was in his room, then. She wondered if she remembered his room number, after all this time?

Angelo jumped onto the bed, excitedly, interrupting her thoughts. ... Angelo?

"I've missed you, girl," Rinoa said, scritching behind her puppy's ears.

What other surprises did this island have in store?

(ooc: For reference! Most of the time, if she's in street clothes and so on, Rinoa looks like this -- mostly like herself, but with a golden-brown tattoo on her face. Later, at ze mixer, she is going to rock it Sorceress-style, by which I mean this. Both the fanart and the tattoo were done by the amazing furnaceface. And finally: door and post both OPEN, esp if the roomie wants to catch up!)

"They must have used magic or something," Lindsay replied as she headed toward her closet. She was curious about what was in there. "Wow, they even found my old army jacket. I got rid of that thing so long ago."

"I should have thought of magic," Rinoa said with a laugh. Especially considering her own skills on that front. "Okay, you have to try it on. I remember that jacket."

Inspiration struck. "So, wait, my old clothes are here, too?" she asked, stumbling out of bed. Curiosity seemed to be even better than caffeine. "I wonder if I still have that gold dress. I could wear that tonight, pretend I'm still a teenager."

"Why not, it's a cute dress." The Lindsay of old likely would not have described any clothing in that way. She shrugged and then slipped the army jacket on. "Huh. It's almost like I never stopped wearing this."

"I'm going to hope common sense prevails," she laughed, "and that I don't strut around like I'm still 19 and can wear skirts that short."

She had been trying to get her ex's attention, when she had bought that dress. Hey, it had worked ...

"All you'd need would be some dark hair dye and the right attitude," Rinoa said. "By the way, if I've never said it, I love your hair that color."

"I never could wear short skirts." Mostly from lack of confidence back when she was a teenager. "And thanks. A few years ago, I got bored with my hair and tried something different. Kept it this way ever since."

"Really?" Rinoa asked. "I think you could have totally pulled off the short skirts. It's all in the attitude, you know. Oh, wow, I do still have it."

She pulled out the dress, shaking her head. "I would never let Raine wear anything this skimpy."

Lindsay chuckled. "Pretty sure all parents say that."

She didn't have any kids herself. And not even because a droid baby scared her twenty years ago.

"Probably," she agreed. "It's a good thing my dad never saw this dress, then."

General Caraway was not exactly a lenient parent.

"Which means Raine will have to sneak out and wear it, like I did," she said, rolling her eyes.

"Teenagers usually seem to find a way around that," Lindsay said with a laugh. "I can't imagine how my dad would have reacted. I mean, he hated me wearing the army jacket."

Rinoa held out the dress. "This might have cured him of that," she teased. "Show up in a few slinky dresses, and he'd be begging you to put the army jacket back on."
