Land Shark Common Area, Tuesday Night: Impromptu Girls' Slumber Party

Rinoa's BFF Ariel was having a rough week. That was no fun. And -- inspired by the fact that most of her cabinmates were female (seven of the eight of them, in fact) -- Rinoa had had an Idea.

Which was: a completely disgustingly girly party. Pajamas, make-overs, gossip, and really bad romantic comedies.

Rinoa had her jammies on already, and had made Ariel help her set up. Munchies, make-up, and movies. What more could they want?

She had even posted a few so very handwavey signs outside, in front of their cabin and places where the other cabins might see, with the important points: Girl Party, exactly how girly it was going to be, and NO BOYS ALLOWED.

Except Jono, since he was the eighth boy in the cabin and all. He could be an honorary girl for the night!! Wouldn't he be thrilled?

Especially if someone tried braiding his hair.

(OKAY SO: [livejournal.com profile] whore4trash and [livejournal.com profile] furnace_face modded with permission, and they totally rock for jointly inspiring this post. This is in the landshark common room but is totally open tooooooo:

- anybody who lives in Landshark, naturally!
- any girl student who wants to come hang out and be nauseated by the frou-frou-ness of it all
- despite the poster, any BOY student who wants to come can totally either (a) run screaming in terror or (b) stay and be girly. Fair warning: staying means you WILL be forced to endure horrific romcoms and probably get your nails painted.

Wait for the OCD The OCD has been up for hours zomg I hope no one was still waiting!!)

This would be a mystified Helen. "Just regular soap," she said. "Why?"
intraspective: (o rly?)

Way to traumatize her, Helen.

Ino was now going to gape. "... You're not joking, are you?"

"...No?"

What? Soap was for cleaning, right?
intraspective: (innocent really)

...

"Holy crap," she said, "this is dire. You need to be good to your hair, Helen!"

Ino pursed her lips.

"That's it. You need to go shopping."

"I clean it very regularly," Helen protested. "Shopping?"
intraspective: (wistful in big and small)

"For shampoo! For conditioner! For things that'll leave your hair silky soft and will mean that it's barely tangled at all when you wake up!"

"Shampoo and conditioner?" My, she seemed to be sounding more and more like a parrot tonight. "Are they truly necessary?"
intraspective: (all the colours)

... That really depended on your definition of 'necessary', honestly.

So: "Definitely," Ino said solemnly. "They're very important in order to keep your hair in excellent condition."

Also, Ino had her hair past her butt when it was up in a pony tail. She was definitely not an unbiased source of information here.

"Oh." Helen considered that for a moment. "The priests never seemed to think anything beyond soap was needed."

Of course, most of them had very little hair...
intraspective: (listen to meeee)

"I hear it's something a lot of priests do," she said, eyes amused. "But you're not a priest, hm? So it's good to be girly and normal in this."

"Okay," Helen said slowly. "I suppose."
intraspective: (my evil plans are working out!)

"Excellent," she said brightly. "When do you want to go?"

"Um... tomorrow?"
intraspective: (trying not to laugh)

"I've got a lunch break and no how to use it," she laughed. "Works for me!"

Helen nodded, squaring her shoulder as if bracing herself. "Very well then."
intraspective: (just a smile)

[Dear fingers: know and no are not the same word. Siiiigh.]

"Meet me at Wellspring Arms," Ino ordered cheerfully. "I'll be waiting!"

And plotting. Fear her, Helen. Fear.

Oh, Helen was worried, have no doubt about that.

Still, she nodded. "I'll be there."
