Room 421, Wednesday Evening
It was strange, not having play rehearsal tonight. It made her feel like it wasn't properly Wednesday at all. She wondered how strange it was going to be, once the play was over and life returned to normal around here.
She also realized she was thinking about the play to not think about the events of the past week, and how crazy those had been. That would change soon enough. No reason to rush it.
She had the room to herself, for now, and had made some hot chocolate. And now, she was just waiting on the boy.
(roomie modded out with permission (thanks!) and just for the Bohemian, please)

Making his way to Rinoa's room, he peeked in the door. "May I come in?"
Okay, so she'd invited him. He was still Victorian!

"Please do," she said, holding it out in front of her. "I feel like we're playing hooky."

Distractable boy was distractable.

He would linger. It was better than hot chocolate.

"So we should lock the door, in case Genesis arrives," she said, before replaying how that sounded and blushing. "Or just ... leave it shut. I'm sure even he would knock."

There was talking to be done. That didn't mean there couldn't be kissing, first. Which was why she slipped her arms around his neck and leaned up again.

"So how are you?" she asked, finally. A bit worried about the answer.

If he ever had sex, he might reevaluate that sentiment, but never mind that.
He sat on the edge of her bed, considering the question. "Fine," he said. "Not ... unworried. But you seem like yourself, and that's something I'd been scared about. You didn't lose you."

"Don't be sorry," he said. "You did what you had to do."
A pause.
"Squall was happy at rehearsal."
A man had to notice things like that.
no subject
"Squall believes that he's alone, and no one will ever care about him," she explained. "He was thrown into a pit and left there to die. It might have been hours, or it might have been days. And then, instead, he was rescued. I guess it changed him some."
She raised an eyebrow at him. "Were you ... thinking something happened?"
no subject
Could they go back to kissing? He wasn't doing very well with the talking part.
"You saved his life?"
no subject
"I ... guess?" she said. "I think we could have just hauled him out of there, bodily. I think it's more that he finally gets it. That people aren't going to abandon him. So I didn't, but at the same time, I kind of did."
She slipped her hand into one of his. "I can think of better things to talk about," she suggested.

Christian didn't sing out loud, but the words ran through his head as he leaned in to kiss her agan. "You have me as long as you'll let me stay, promise."

"You say such amazing things," she sighed. "You make me feel like I'm a princess. Like I'm flying."

... almost.
"Sorry, it's just -- I'm taller than you are."

He kissed the top of her ear. "Where would we go?"
no subject
"Anywhere," she said. "Just around the school. Not too long. It's cold out. You'd have to keep us warm."
She was sure he'd have ideas, on that.
no subject
Oh, look, ideas! And more snuggling, and hands moving lightly around to her stomach.

He decided, for about the 500th time, that he liked 2020 very much as he pressed his kisses more ardently against her lips, legs stretching to intertwine with hers.

Christian relaxed, trying to vary the kisses -- now harder, now gentler -- as he melted into her. There was nothing else in the world.
