Land Shark Common Area, Tuesday Night: Impromptu Girls' Slumber Party

Rinoa's BFF Ariel was having a rough week. That was no fun. And -- inspired by the fact that most of her cabinmates were female (seven of the eight of them, in fact) -- Rinoa had had an Idea.

Which was: a completely disgustingly girly party. Pajamas, make-overs, gossip, and really bad romantic comedies.

Rinoa had her jammies on already, and had made Ariel help her set up. Munchies, make-up, and movies. What more could they want?

She had even posted a few so very handwavey signs outside, in front of their cabin and places where the other cabins might see, with the important points: Girl Party, exactly how girly it was going to be, and NO BOYS ALLOWED.

Except Jono, since he was the eighth boy in the cabin and all. He could be an honorary girl for the night!! Wouldn't he be thrilled?

Especially if someone tried braiding his hair.

(OKAY SO: whore4trash and furnace_face modded with permission, and they totally rock for jointly inspiring this post. This is in the landshark common room but is totally open tooooooo:

- anybody who lives in Landshark, naturally!
- any girl student who wants to come hang out and be nauseated by the frou-frou-ness of it all
- despite the poster, any BOY student who wants to come can totally either (a) run screaming in terror or (b) stay and be girly. Fair warning: staying means you WILL be forced to endure horrific romcoms and probably get your nails painted.

"I like secret plans," Ino shared. "They're very exciting."

And generally tended to be dangerous but, well, Ino wasn't the sort to turn down a fight or anything. Which reminded her...

"What kind of training do you got anyway?" Which was possibly a subject change that only made sense if you could read her narrative.

"I'm a SeeD," Squall answered. She could hear the out-of-place capital letters that meant it was an elite military organization, right? "...A soldier for hire," he added, in order to clarify.

She was pretty good at hearing the capital letters! Liir was her brother, after all, and he had them all over the place.

Ino was still glad for the clarification. SeeD could've been almost anything otherwise.

Now he was going to get a long considering look, one that was less focused on how hot he was and rather more on how physically fit he was. It was a subtle but significant difference to her. "Get people sayin' you're too young for your job ever? Or you average age for it?"

Squall shrugged. "I just passed the exam this year," he explained.

He was pretty lean and lanky, but he was far stronger than his mere physical build would suggest.

And that totally didn't answer the rest of her questions. "Is that a good thing?" she tried. "Or an okay thing?"
