The ectoplasmic reconstruction -- and that was still such a strange phrase -- had gone well. Or, really, it had succeeded, even if it was a bit chilling to watch.

Rinoa had thought to bring a couple of books along with her, but she was too keyed up to settle down and read properly. And she was on a night-time schedule at this point, what with dealing with vampires for the past few nights running, so sleep was out of the question.
And so Rinoa was making herself some tea. The kitchen had been empty of food, but there was a tea-kettle in the cupboards, which was why Rinoa had thought to grab tea-bags while grocery shopping.
Another point in the kitchen's favor: it didn't have all those sleeping bags making a patchwork quilt out of the floor.
